Our story

Two decades of intent, built into one engineering partner.

CADOpt started in 2014 with a narrow, deliberate focus: help engineering teams get more out of the tools they'd already invested in. That focus — "CAD Optimisation" — is still the name. It's also still the job. Since then, the scope has grown to cover the full PTC suite, 3D metrology, design automation and workforce training, but the starting question hasn't changed: is this software actually solving your engineering problem, or just running in the background?

From a training centre to a 250-person engineering practice.

2014

Founded in Bengaluru

Named a PTC Authorized Training Centre in year one — the training-first instinct that still shapes how CADOpt onboards every client team.

2015 – 2017

Windchill preferred partner, four new cities

Became a Windchill PDM preferred partner and PTC value-added reseller; expanded to Pune, Coimbatore, Chennai and Mumbai; crossed 125 employees.

2018

Top 10 PLM provider, first defence partnership

Ranked among India's Top 10 PLM solution providers; earned ISO 9001 and ISO 27001; signed a DRDO partnership.

2020

Coimbatore offshore design centre

Opened what's now the largest automotive-focused offshore design centre in Coimbatore — built for sustained throughput, not project bursts.

2022 – 2023

Into aerospace

Entered the aerospace segment; added KeyShot, Graebert, iSEEK and Hexagon partnerships; launched 3D metrology and reverse-engineering services; exhibited at Aero India 2023.

2024 – 2025

250+ employees, Pinnacle Award

Crossed 250 employees; partnered with Tamil Nadu's Naan Mudhalvan skilling programme; won PTC Partner of the Year and the 2025 Pinnacle Award; returned to Aero India.

Co-founder & Director

28+ years in product design, development and manufacturing, including a run inside PTC itself across CAD services, training and project management. That vantage point shapes how he leads CADOpt today — less about selling software, more about getting design processes to actually work.

Karthik Kandasamy

Co-Founder & Technical Director

Close to two decades in project and program management, including time at PTC before co-founding CADOpt. He turned process optimisation into CADOpt's internal operating rhythm — the discipline most clients deal with once a project moves from proposal to execution.

RM

Raghavendra M S

Director, Strategic Business

25+ years across manufacturing, design, quality and program management, with deep roots in automotive systems built at majors including Meritor. A Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, he now owns CADOpt's quality initiatives — the discipline behind the ISO, CMMI and AS9100D marks that show up in every serious RFP.
